For those of you yet to grab a copy, Stylist Magazine’s Summer Fiction Special includes Belinda Bauer’s never-before-seen short story - Everything Must Go.

Stylist: ‘Bauer is one of the leading names in crime fiction. This year, Darkside, a literary thriller about the hunt for a killer was a big hit. She wrote Everything Must Go after a trip to Ikea. “I don’t have children but it looks relentless,” she explains. “This story was inspired by a visit to Ikea with my sister and her daughter, and my neighbours, who have twins.”’

And the great news is that you can read it HERE!

Make sure you pick up a copy today and read this exclusive short story for yourselves!

Your Comments

I would echo the praise of the previous comments.
Blacklands was a great read and delightfully unusual, but I feel that Darkside is an even stronger piece of writing and defy anyone to see the ending coming.
I paricularly loved the portrayal of a woman with MS whose body is growing ever weaker and unreliable but who is still as sharp and sensitive and intuitive as ever – great observation here and what a great choice for a central charactor.
I also loved the fact that there is still space found for humour in this dark, dark story, which in some small way is theraputic for the reader. Allowing us to take a breath before the next shocking twist in the story.
This book had me thoughtful and still disecting plot and characters some days later, delaying the start of my next read till I was done with thinking about this one.
Have pre-ordered the next Belinda Bauer novel, Finders Keepers… and already the suspense is killing me.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep writing. I just finished reading Darkside and am blown away!!!!! I got so caught up in ALL the characters.. I could FEEL each of them beautifully!!! I was SO sad at the end to see who the killer was and how unfair his life seemed!! I wanted him to die too, so his pain could be over. The tension and twists and the UNIQUE descriptvive style (funny at times and poignant too).

Just previous to Darkside I read Blacklands. I just picked it up at the library. My heart twisted for Steven Lamb aned his Nan and Mum. I wanted to see him happier in Darkside.

Thank you, thank you Belinda Bauer and your shining talent! I CAN NOT wait to get my hands on the next one!!!!!
